And it says, “Consume—consume more wealth in…” I forgot what it was. Consume more wealth in, like your experiences, and then, uh…something like, “accumulate less stuff.” And that’s kind of what I live by.
【Clayton】Interesting, yeah. Uh…I mean…that’s a good way to—I never really thought of the, uh…it in terms of, you know, experiential goods. You know?
【Deanna】Mm hm.
【Clayton】Uh, but I guess I kind of agree. Like, uh…less can be more. Like…
【Deanna】There’s a documentary on Netflix called Minimalism.
【Clayton】Oh, yeah.
【Deanna】It’s really interesting.
【Clayton】It’s like a whole series, right?
【Deanna】Yeah.
【Clayton】I’ve seen, like a couple of episodes. Yeah.
【Deanna】Mm hm. And these guys just live a very simple life. Like, one fork, one spoon, one plate, which is a little extreme, I think.
【Clayton】Yeah, yeah. It’s a little bit extreme but like, um…if you can find happiness doing it, then sure.
【Deanna】Yeah. There’s more space for ideas in your head.
【Clayton】Yeah, yeah.
【Deanna】Rather than…and…
【Clayton】Worrying about stuff and all that.

【Clayton】But unfortunately, like you need stuff to do things.

Accumulateの例文について質問です。
I love Japanese pens! I’ve accumulated over 100 pens in Japan.
（日本製のペンが大好きなんだ。日本で100本以上のペンを集めてきたよ。）
「日本で100本以上のペンを集めた」というのは下記２とおりで表現できると思います。
(1) I accumulated over 100 pens in Japan.
(2) I’ve accumulated over 100 pens in Japan.
例文では何故(1)ではなく(2)なのでしょうか？
私の解釈では、
日本語だけ見ると「日本で100本以上のペンを集めてきたよ。」なので、一見過去の出来事のように感じられますが、実際には今も集めているので(2)の表現になっている。

その通りです。I accumulated は「過去に集めた、今はもう集めていない」に対し、I’ve accumulated は「過去に集めた、今も集めている」になります。

こんにちは！Consumeは本来、「消費する」や「購入する」を意味する単語ですが、ディアナが言ったセリフでは、物を購入するのではなく、経験をたくさん積むことが大事であることを表し、「得るべき富は」のように訳しています。wealthはお金に限らず、経験や富など見方によって異なります。

初歩的な質問なのですが、”less”や”more”はこように名詞として使うことができるんですか？
名詞や形容詞、副詞とセットでしが使えないんだと思ってました。
