Because like, there was like a point when we were talking to them, I’m like, “I don’t know about these guys, man.” Like, what was it for you that just kind of like, was like, that’s, that’s it. Like I don’t know. We got to cut them off.

【Akina】Well like, the first sign that there was something like weird about them was like, it was two guys, and then one guy was like, the more friendly one. And then the other guy was kind of like, the more like grumpy skeptical one. And then they’re playing like, kind of like, good cop, bad cop.

【Akina】And then like, the guy that was like a little bit more like skeptical, he like, started looking at our house and he was like, “Oh, there might be like something wrong with your foundation.” And like, he was saying all these things.

【Akina】It doesn’t make sense because our house has been here for like 50 years.

【Jun】And of course, the concretes are going to crack over time. Yeah, but you’re right. Like somebody, they’re like trying to find something to make it look like, you know, all kinds of problems are happening and that they had to be here to fix everything. That was the other thing, right?

【Jun】It was a big show. And they were like trying so hard to prove to us that they are legit, right? Like, they’re like showing us all these reviews and going to like these sites and like, “You don’t know about this site? Everybody knows about this site.”
（そうだったね。彼らは僕たちに「彼らは信頼できる」って証明しようと一生懸命だったよね？僕らにレビューを見せたり、ウェブページを見せて、「このサイトについてご存じありませんか？みんなこのサイトのことを知っていますよ！」って）

【Akina】They were purposefully trying to make us feel bad for not knowing all these things.
（彼らは私たちがそれらについて知らなくて嫌な気持ちになるようわざとしていたわ）

【Jun】But I think like it was good. Because we were waiting for them to give us a quote, right? Like and estimate on how much it’s gonna be. And then he just kept giving us stories after stories and he just never gave us the quote. And then you had to step in, you’d be like, “You know what? Like, my husband is busy. You know we got to go pick up our kids. Can you just give us a quote?” I could tell like, immediately like, his face changed and he is like,,,

【Jun】He got so mad. That was, that was kind of funniest moment. He was like, “HERE!” And then he was like, “You can’t take it home, but you could take a picture of it.”
