【Ken】Uh so, Deanna, we’ve talked a lot about international travel. But what about domestic travel here in the U.S.? Uh, where have you been, or what are some of your favorite places?

【Deanna】My favorite places…I guess…okay, well I’ve been to Nevada. Las Vegas. That’s a lot of fun. Been to New York. Um, Boston, Seattle, Utah, Arizona…not too many places. I think my favorite is probably Utah. Went to Zion National Park. Have you heard of that?

【Ken】 Yeah, I have.

【Deanna】Yeah? Okay, yeah. It’s a beautiful national park. Um…the U.S. is known for all these beautiful places and this is one of the top ones I think. But they have a thing called “Angels Landing” there, and you, uh—it’s a hike, and it’s to the highest point in Zion. And that’s why it’s called “Angels Landing.”
But you have to go up by a chain, and uh…apparently a lot of people have died doing this hike, but I got to see it. I didn’t do it, but it was really cool to see, yeah.

【Ken】Wow, that’s pretty amazing. Um…

【Deanna】Have you ever been to uh, any national parks, or anything?

【Ken】Um I have never been to the ones in Utah. I’ve heard a lot about Zion. I’d love to go there, but um, you know, as far as just here in California, I’ve been to quite a few. Um, you know, Yosemite obviously.

【Deanna】That’s beautiful.

【Ken】Yeah, uh, Yosemite’s a great place to go to because it’s very accessible, you know? If you just—if you’re not really into the outdoors and you’re not really into hiking, um you can just go to Yosemite and there’s lots of places you can just sort of drive to and see some beautiful things.
But if you’re really into the more hardcore stuff and you wanna (want to) hike for ten days and just get lost out in the wilderness, then you can do that too. So Yosemite has something I think for everybody.

【Deanna】Okay so Yosemite’s up there. And uh, how about, uh Sequoia? You heard of that?

【Ken】I’ve never been that far north in California before, but I’ve done a lot of—I’ve seen a lot of the stuff on the coast.

【Deanna】Okay.

【Ken】So like Big Sur. The Central California coastline is incredibly beautiful. You know if you just drive up, uh, you know Highway 1…

【Deanna】Right.

【Ken】…um, yeah that—that Central California coastline is uh, you know, probably amongst the most beautiful in the whole world. So I’ve done that a few times.

【Deanna】I think so too. I think we’re—we’re advertising for California.

【Ken】Yeah. (laughs)

【Deanna】So if you’re listening, go to California it’s the best place to live and to visit.

1) Domestic travel（国内旅行 ）

Domesticが「国内」、travelが「旅行」なので、domestic travelは「国内旅行」です。「国内旅行をする」は、travel domesticallyと言います。

2) Accessible（〜しやすい）

Accessibleはaccess（アクセスする）の形容詞で、何かにアクセスしやすいことを表します。例えば、目的地までの交通手段が便利であったり、インターネットで必要な情報を簡単に入手できたり、本や教材が理解しやすい場合などに使われます。また、話しやすい人や親切な人、連絡を取りやすい人に対しても用いられ、特に権力者や有名人を指して使われる傾向があります。
